Reporting to the Divisional / Section Engineer, the role will produce technically accurate and legally compliant
drawings to allow the efficient manufacturing and construction of infrastructure on the Mine.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide subject matter expertise and skills in area of responsibility; advising on solutions to enhance or ensure the
effectiveness of the department/section.
Ensure that drawings and maps are filed correctly.
Keep geological, mechanical, structural, civil, electrical and instrumentation drawings, instrumentation piping diagrams,
process flow diagrams and data bases up to date.
Prepare drawings for engineering installations.
Responsible for detailing and checking of manufacturing drawings.
Responsible for the design of engineering installations.
Responsible for the measuring or capturing of dimensions of existing equipment.
Responsible to change designs to rectify defects or malfunctions.
Responsible to design layouts of the Plant, Mining and Engineering installations
Responsible to ensure that drawings are checked, verified and signed off.
Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system within the operation.
Takes cognisance of and adhere to Company policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
Manage and report on non
Model behaviour that is consistent with the Company Safety, Health and Environment Vision and Values.
Manage and report
on non compliance issues. .
Effective Team Player and Effective Self Management
Certificate Draughting (NQF Level 5).
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Draughtsperson.
Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate)
Valid Drivers’ license.
OTHER SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
Demonstrate knowledge and skill in all applicable legislative requirements regarding drawings and maps.
Ensure that all drawings adhere to applicable specifications.
Demonstrate knowledge and skill in updating applicable data base.
Demonstrate knowledge and skill in analysing the design specifications of equipment against its practical functionality.
Adhere to specifications in terms of authorised drawings.
Having knowledge and skill to perform accurate measurements of existing structures by using applicable measuring
Display knowledge related to computer aided draughting.
File drawings as per standard operating procedure.
