Supply Chain Management Officer

The National Arts Council of South Africa is looking to attract dynamic, passionate and innovative self-starters with a solid understanding of the Creative Industries Sector.
REQUIREMENTS (full job specification is available upon request)

The incumbent must have strong knowledge and experience of Supply Chain Management regulations and legislative requirements. In addition to this, the successful incumbent is expected to render and maintain an effective and efficient procurement function that will ensure value for money when acquiring assets, goods and services.
Additional role requirements are

To maintain, review and implement Supply Chain Management policies to ensure compliance.
To develop and monitor company’s Supply Chain Management strategy.
Excellent understanding Facilitate Supply Chain Management.
Assist in the company’s procurement functions.
Contract Management.
Asset Management.
Daily management of incoming requests from end users ensuring timeous turn around.
Conduct monthly demand planning to determine the needs and requirements for goods and services.
Compile procurement reports for internal and external stakeholders.
B Com or Post-Graduate Diploma in Finance/Public Administration/Supply Chain Management.
At least 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management Officer role.
Knowledge and understanding of Government procurement regulations, PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
Understating and sensitivity towards previously disadvantaged communities.
Understanding of socio-political issues.
Advanced Microsoft suite skills.
