Examination Invigilators at the following Brainline examination centres

Brainline is looking for invigilators to assist with the National Senior Certificate examination series at their respective branches at the end of 2021 October – November (these dates may change based on announcements made by the Department of Education / the IEB).
This is a temporary position that will be paid per hour of examination invigilated.
Successful candidates will assist Brainline to ensure that the National Senior Certificate examination is conducted strictly in accordance with IEB examination regulations and standard practice.
The successful candidate will perform the following tasks (not comprehensive) under the guidance of the head invigilator at each Brainline examination centre
Setting up the examination venues by placing candidate numbers, booklets, examination papers, and any equipment required at desks in accordance with strict procedures.
Implementing the examination rules and regulations and remaining vigilant throughout the examination duration.
Assisting the candidates before, during and after the examination by directing them to their seats, advising them about possessions permitted at examination venues, dealing with queries raised by candidates, etc.
Invigilating carefully, making sure that candidates do not talk inside examination venues, and responding to any examination irregularities immediately.
Checking attendance during examinations, recording details of late arrivals, and ensuring that proper seating plans are followed.
Escorting candidates during water breaks or washroom breaks as required, and detecting any unauthorized materials inside the examination hall.
Delivering and collecting scripts carefully at the start and end of the examination in accordance with strict examination procedures.
Assisting with the packing up of examination scripts, stationery and other equipment used in the examination venues.
Supervising candidates in leaving the examination venues in a quiet and disciplined manner, and ensuring that candidates do not remove equipment or stationery from the examination venue without the permission of the head invigilator.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the following requirements must be met to apply for this position:
. Applicants must be aged 25 – 50 years of age.
. Must have matric certificate
. Applicants must not have any chronic conditions or a compromised immune system.
. Chronic conditions include high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer and lung disease, amongst others.
. A medical certificate is required.
For invigilators who are applying to assist learners with accommodations approved by the IEB, proof of experience must be submitted.
Valid driver’s license (Code 8) with a reliable vehicle.
Ability to build positive relationships with a high level of interpersonal skills.
Excellent skills in interacting with people in a positive and courteous manner.
Strong verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
Responsible, neat, dependable, and punctual.
A police clearance certificate is required.
